We travel a lot. Everywhere we go, we tend to be drawn to particular places: markets, repurposed industrial spaces, art communes, and also - obviously - regular museums and galleries.
Art can transform spaces. Entire communities can grow out or bond out of art hubs. It's happened before, it keeps happening over and over. We try and trace some of the lines on those maps.
Sometimes, on the other hand, so called "art spaces" can shrink and destroy any power a work of art may still have. We try and chronicle the occasions when the pressure is too much for art to breathe.
